Drafts of digipak

Second Promotional Advert Draft 3

This is draft three of our advertisement for our artists, I chose a background of blue velvet as one of their singles is called 'Velour Confusion' but our media audience group did not like this background so I will have to change the background again. There was a lot of positive feedback about the text at the bottom as the font was really effective and they liked the use of the logos and the websites at the bottom so the only things we need to change are the background and the use of the word 'devastating' as this wasn't the word I actually meant.

Second Promotional Advert Draft 2

After the first draft of this advert, I added in more detail about the release of the album, I also added logos of places to get the album and also the institutions website, I still need to add in the logo for the institution that we have made. Our target audience have said that they are unsure about the background colour as it doesn't bare much resemblance to the other one or the digipak. I also added in the moons either side of the 'with their amazing new album' to create synergy with the moons that were added onto the disk for our digipak.

Second Promotional Advert Draft 1

This is the initial draft of the second promotional advert for our artists. We had issues with trying to use the same font as the original font which we used on the digipak as it was a specific font from 1001 Free Fonts which is not authorized on the new PCs we are using. To try and work around this we just used the JPEG version of the digipak front pane with the original font as promotion and then used a different font for the advert.

Promotional Advert Draft 3

During the making of draft three we focused on trying to find the right colours to use, in this instance we colour picked the denim for the name of the band and for the background we used the colour picker tool on one of the leaves which was a lighter colour, we did initially try one of the golden/burgundy leaves but it was too dark and didn't look as though it would fit our indie genre.

Promotional Advert Draft 2

After some target audience feedback we learnt that the black background was not popular and did not appeal to our TA so using the colour picker tool, I picked up the blue from the denim jacket of one of our stars and used this to create some synergy. After looking at this draft we are unsure about the font we have used for the description of the album as during TA feedback, our audience didn't like that there was lines through the font so this is something we will have to change.

Our Music Video - Rough Cut Four

Promotional Advert Draft 1

This is the first draft of our initial promotional advert. During similar product research I found an advert which used polaroid style pictures of the band with a simple lay out, this one heavily influenced the idea for this advert as it is unique and suits the indie genre, we wanted to use quite basic colours to make the pictures the main focus as it is supposed to be a promotional advert for the band so having shots of them is imperative. I am not sure if the photos could be better as there is a flare on one of the shots and there is no shot of the digipak to promote it. We also need to add in institutional information and also social media links.
